Dear friends,
We are experiencing difficulty in accessing ' HACC ' services from local
Council's when our Members are entitled to a ' Waiver of fees ' because of
inability to pay.
Our Members miss out on meals and one in particular who is an 'insullin
dependant diabetic ' just 8 weeks ago had a letter of referral to their
Council for ' Meals on Wheels ' and it has not happened, as the wrong meals
were tried to be given and when our Member said that they could not eat that
kind of food as it was against their health problem to do so. The Council
decided in their wisdom to just wipe them off their books.
The Wyndham City Council has been one of the main contenders in making life
very difficult for our Members and the Mayor together with the CEO have
written some pretty nasty letters to our Member and no care what-so-ever has
been given them, when our Members are so ill.
This Member has been threatened with legal action if they complain to anyone
!!!!
