Matthew Taylor has been charged with criminal damage to a city McDonalds' restaurant in Swanston Street on May 1. He has been bailed and will appear in Kyneton Magistrates' Court on Monday. A police spokesman said the charge was the first in connection with the M1 events, but said it was unlikely to be the last as investigations were continuing.
