Leading Acehnese independence activist, Erwanto, will
address a public meeting titled "Aceh - The Next East
Timor?" in Melbourne on Thursday 23 May.
Erwanto, who is the International Officer with the
Acehnese Popular Democratic Resistance Front (FPDRA)
will also discuss the FPDRA's opposition to
Exxon-Mobil's tacit support for the repression being
carried out in Aceh by the Indonesian military.
The meeting will be held in the Annex at Trades Hall
from 6.30pm, and is sponsored by Action in Solidarity
with Asia and the Pacific and Australia Asia Worker
