The pie crust table idea intrigues me on a LOM, I’ve made several with a hand
held router and jigs while my 1200 with a rotary table sits in storage; are
there any videos showing this being accomplished on a Legacy?

Thanks in advance,

Michael K

Where are the low profile clamps located? I checked the site at
https://ornamentalmills.com/turningaround/index.html

Thank you.

I thought of putting some pem inserts into the rotary table so you could do
what you are saying. I just never got around to either needing to making it
happen.

Another thought I will pass on that low profile clamps will work better than
many of the larger knobs sold by rockler. At least be careful when cutting. I
have posted on sever low profile clamps in this group.

I forgot where you landed in Oregon, care to remind me.

Thank you Tim for the information on your efforts to improve upon the rotary
table, look's like great minds think alike, :-) Sharing of this info is just
one of the many great things about this Legacy group. I went to the Rockler
woodworking store today in Beaverton and picked-up the T-track rail as well as
several t-track accessories, hold downs, small toggles, stops, with the
intention of creating new plywood rotary tables with the T-track
rails/hold-downs which should give you more control of the workpiece staying
put on the table when being routed. I plan on making several wood rotary
tables that will have different hold down features for different applications.
To make switching out the new wood table"jigs" easier, I'm going to deviate
from Legacy's way of fastening the original MDF wood table to the round
turntable base with four #8 screws, their design, (screws are fastened
underneath the table) forces you to remove the entire rotary table from the
rails. The plan is to make is so the new wood tables, aka, hold-down jigs,
will fasten to the metal turntable from the top. Thanks again, some great
ideas, I'd like to have you for a neighbor.

Greetings to all. Back in the shop, (my winter hang-out), and looking to make
some fun wood X-mas gifts. I've dusted off the Legacy 900 and installed the
rotary table, always a pain to line up the center of the router to the center
of the rotary table. I watched the Legacy training dvd's on centering the
rotary table and have used that method in the past but there has to be a faster
more accurate way, any thoughts or experience on this? Also looking to making
some hold down jigs on the rotary table, I've been using double stick tape but
that method has some drawbacks, i.e., often leaves a sticky residue, fails at
time to hold down wood piece which results in ruining the work, also with thin
pieces the risk of breaking while trying to release workpiece from the
tape/table. I picked-up some nice grade 3/4" plywood today with the intention
of making several rotary tables with different hold down features, T-Tracks
come to mind as these have a lot of assorted accessories you can use with a
T-Track. Shell in Oregon.
