Because Rubio Monocote needs to be rubbed in and buffed I don’t believe its
ideal for many Legacy “turnings” where it will build up in the recesses but
more ideal for flat surfaces, also for red cedar it would darken it.

I was in Woodcraft Store in West Springfield, Massachusetts 2 weeks ago they
stocked it and it’s pricy.

There are so many finished out there that you need a PHD to even begin to sort
them all out but after over 60 years of woodworking/woodturning experience I
have a petty good handle on most of them.

Snow in the forecast here (global warming) J.

Regarding the finish - it looks great.

Has anyone worked with a "finish" product by Rubio (company name) - called
Monocoat (the finishing product)?

Hey David,

Beautiful work.

I can see why the customer was happy. I'm guessing very ecstatic actually
right.

Keep up the great work.

What are some of your joinery process's you used?

Noting also the high gloss sheen? what product did you use for that?

Did you spray?

Can't say enough very nice craftsmanship.

Kind Regards,

Here’s my version of what a cedar live edge coffee table should look like.
Turned out better than expected and the customer is very pleased. This was the
last project with my old “steely “ model legacy, still working on the new on.
