Chester, my apologies if I am misunderstanding the problem. Firstly version 6 is fine. Secondly you appear to have done everything correctly providing you did as requested and gave the file a name and saved it. You can save it where you wish but the default is C:\Legacy\Data.

All that is required then is to email the ged file as an attachment as for any other file.

If the problem is different please come back to us.

Ron Ferguson

Subject: [LegacyUG] request assistance...
Date: Thu, 21 Sep 2006 17:59:38 -0400

I have been making various attempts to send a Gedcom file to a number of cousins without success. A member of this site suggested I join but stated to click File/Export/Gedcom which brought me to: Produce File for ANSI. I was then told to click on the item above and make use of Gedcom5.5 but I am having no success since I enter Documents and when I pick the information I wish to transfer it offer me the "Save" which takes me nowhere. Also the program I have for Legacy is 6 not 5.5.
   I would appreciate your help!
Respectfully,

Chester H. Cowen
