Ok, we are not comparing apples to apples. I didn't use Ancestry to get information from before trying to strip HTML codes. Also, I didn't use CTRL-A either, I just highlighted everything with my mouse.

Ok, just tried something from Ancestry, but I still used my mouse instead of CTRL-A to highlight everything. (Habit.) It is still working for me, so we have something else different.

I am using Legacy 7, it was the latest version but just noticed there is an
update so updating at the moment.

It's usually when I paste some information from a site like Ancestry into my
file. I just tried a block of censuses indexes, Strip HTML removed the
first block of HTM but not the rest. I tried repeatedly CRTL-A to mark
everything then Strip HTML but it did not clean it up.

As I said I usually open a blank Email, set to Plain Text then paste there,
CTRL-A, CTRL-C and copy over to where I want it and works every time. But
wondered if there was an easier way.
