I did not say that they wouldn't appear to sort correctly in any particular email client, especially with so few messages having been posted thru the new server/list to date. I said that they will probably default to sorting by Subject (and Date) since the msg that In-Reply-To (and/or References) refers to doesn't exist on your machine. This could lead to incorrect threading, especially as the number of messages from the new server accumulate on your machine. If you don't keep LUG posts around for very long, and your email client is one that threads by Subject/Date as a last resort, odds are you probably will never see a problem. I use Agent as an email client. If I turn off "Enable Threading by Subject", msgs from the new server don't get threaded at all because the headers necessary to properly thread the msgs are unusable. Msgs from the old server do get threaded properly with this option turned off because the old server served headers that could be used. I was just trying to send a heads-up to the list. -- Dennis Kowallek [email protected] ****************** Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
