I also belong to several other list-servers that support digest mode. One of the biggest problems with digest mode is that a user may find a particular message that they are interested in and send a reply without realizing that they are replying to the entire digest which gets re-quoted and others have no idea to which message he is replying. There have been discussions on those boards to discontinue digest mode because of the problems it creates from users who don't know how to utilize it.
