Are there list members who fail to change the subject of the email when using digest mode? Yes, that happens. Good list managers usually give a gentle reminder to those folks.
I don't understand why anyone would oppose providing a choice of digest mode to list members. That seems odd. Certainly, no one would be required to use digest mode if they didn't like it. My original response was primarily directed toward, what I perceived as a rather one-sided view that was posted regarding digest mode.
