Rick,

Is there any particular reason for reversing the address fields, or is it just
personal choice?

Also, if you reverse the address fields, do you also show the date as; year,
month, day?

Sylvia,

The way those of us who use the Location field for the full address do this is
to reverse the order in which the Location appears eg change to England, Kent,
Canterbury, 3 Cathedral Close. To do this go to View>Master Lists>Location.
Select Sort (next to the Globe) and check the Right to Left radio button. Then
ensure that the check box next to the Sort button (on the Location Screen) is
also checked.

By the way, I would always include the country - England, Wales, Scotland,
Northern Ireland as part of the location, because if you ever publish on the
web or elsewhere readers may not realise which country you are talking about!

Subject: [LegacyUG] Address searches

Trying to compile (or straighten up) my list of places. (Still changing from
Paf5 to Legacy) - some of my census data addresses begin with (for example) 4
Smith Road, Town, Kent others with Kent, Town, 4 Smith Road. I can pick up the
ones starting with "Kent..", but the ones started with "4.." I can't. Can I do
a search with "Kent" anywhere in the address line, or am stuck with finding
them myself? How? Many thanks, again....Sylvia
