There is no start menu on my version of Windows 7. I can only start it by clicking on the desktop icon or by clicking on Legacy.exe in the files list in Windows Explorer.
I did try the Compatibility Mode thing but it hung and I had to reboot. It's all moot at the moment because the computer won't boot up and will have to go into the shop on Monday. I'll try deleting everything and re-installing when it comes back. If I have any further problems, don't worry, I'll ask here.
