Can anyone tell me how to convert Basic Source to Source Writer, is it necessary to change records for each one individually or is it possible to change them all at one time?

There are 2 points which come to my mind when I read this. The first is that when I save a file I try and give it a name which will make it immediately recognizable to me, so I would probably know from looking at the file name to which of five James Smiths the picture was to be attached. Secondly, I never start from the picture when attaching them to people, I start from the Individual's Picture Gallery, the Event or the Source, depending on what picture I was wanting to attach. So instead of saying "I've got this picture, where can I attach it?" I am saying "Have I got a picture to attach to this person/event/source?" which strikes me as a much more sensible approach, but like so many other aspects of Legacy, it's all a matter of personal choice and what suits one may be avoided at all costs by another. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
