Since others have responded by pointing you to the Event clipboard, I
need to point out that this creates an entirely new *copy* of the event.
However, if you need to make a change, you will have to make that change
in every *copy*. You may or may not be able to use Search & Replace to
mitigate the amount of work this involves.

I hade assumed from your mention of "cut and paste" (I think you meant
"copy and paste") that you were already using the various clipboards.
