Actually, It sort of depends on on where you live...
As a Canadian, the correct reference  for early references(ie
1700-1800) to Ontario, Quebec, or points east would actually be
British North America. The original constitution that formed the
Canadian constitution was actually called the British North America
Act. This  was in effect until Pierre Trudeau repatriated the
Canadian constitution in 1982. While I respect your workaround,  I
think that stating that you created British North America is not
exactly accurate lol
