I tried out neice in my Legacy and it picked it up as 'not in
dictionary'. Clicking on suggestion caused 'niece' to be suggested
replacement.
So it appears to work ok.
Perhaps Elizabeth you have somehow got 'neice' already added into your
dictionary.
The help section of Legacy gives you instructions for deleting words
from your dictionary.
