I suspect you did as I did a few times. You added the misspelling to your file. 
I added teh. I have forgotten the details of how I fixed it (in windows 3.1), 
but in general, I found the actual list in that dictionary, then deleted that 
record.  At the same time I took out the 'others'. Legacy has a separate one 
from the Windows dictionary.Go to Legacy's help screen, type dictionary,  you 
will find details on how to remove 'bad' words.

I have just discovered in a set of notes on an individual that the
word niece was incorrectly spelt neice - obviously this should have
come up under the spell checking facility but it didn't and I can't
get the spell checking to pick it up.  I can change it manually but
surely it should work automatically, shouldn't it, especially with
such an easy word?  I have set the dictionary setting to
userdic-uk.tlx and tried to run a global spell check but that didn't
solve it.
