Maureen,
My *guess* is that you have the focus on the wrong file. Make sure that the
file you wish to transfer from is already in focus before clicking on the
name. In other words the title bar of the file you wish to transfer from is
"lit up" before you click the name.

Subject: [LegacyUG] a Question
I'm really enjoying Legacy 7.4. What is great is that I can open two files
at once and split the screen. Now, here is my problem.
A cousin sent me here database which I've entered with a different file
name. I open mine and open her's. I look at her information and sometimes
I want to copy and then paste into my database. Every time I do this I get
the little alert sound with the comment that I can't copy into the same
file. Please tell, what am I doing wrong.
thanks,
Maureen
