You can count me in that group as well. Probably 95% of my locations
are in the US (as am I) but I put the everything in the location field
and I've never adhered to the 4 positions & commas format. I don't see
any sense in having the mapping feature if it's only used to indicate
a town when I know a more specific location. I want to pinpoint as
exact a location as I can. I never used the Geo Locations much and
since Mapping was added I don't see any use for it at all. I go
directly to the map to see if a new location is marked correctly and
if it isn't, I fix it on the map. Often the mapping will find the
exact location of a cemetery on it's own just from the cemetery name,
city and state but the geo location would have been completely
confused by that cemetery name. Even before Legacy added the mapping,
I always entered the name of the cemetery in the burial location
because I wanted to be able to see at a glance if I had that
information. I'm basically lazy and see no reason to make extra clicks
to find something when it isn't necessary.
