I doubt that any genealogy software review site does what could be called "testing" on the software. They probably load it on a computer and look at a few of the screens, but very little else. Their ratings are most likely based on the appearance of the screens and the features claimed by the publisher. I doubt very much that they even verify that a claimed feature actually exists (source conversion tool) much less that it is convenient to use or that it always functions properly (the entire Legacy bug list). Just assume that their ratings apply to an "if perfect" product and not to the software that you will actually be using.
