Ron and Jenny,

Thanks for your help.  It's early morning and I'm much better now!  I
really thought I already had "Biological" on my master list of
Child-parent relationships and I could not understand why it was not
there.  I've added it and now I can move on.

I guess this is a feature that was added with one of the recent
updates.  You can't have one child-parent status listed as adopted,
without specifying the relationship to the other parent.
