Scott: I'd enter the compiler's name as Unknown, and under the Text/Comments tab I'd say something like "Collected by Uncle B and given to Scott Hall (year)." That's stating the provenance of the records. For records where you know the compiler, you would just enter his name in the appropriate field and I think it would be well to give some indication in the provenance statement about the compiler's general relationship to the people listed on the group sheets.
If you have lots of family group sheets obviously compiled by different people, and if that would cause too much splitting of Master Sources for you, you could use the Artifact template with something like "Research of John Jones" (your Uncle B) as the Master Source, "Various" as the creator, and then explain that they're family group sheets along with the provenance on the Text/Comments tab. Many of the fields on the first screen will be left blank. Then using that Master Source on the Source Clipboard, you could add further details for the individual sheets.
