What I am saying is when you are in the ASSIGNED SOURCES window, then select
the edit detail for the source that has been created with Source Write - the
first field shows. Where as I expected to see the ID of Person. Does this help?
Also, would it better to take this off list?

I'm afraid I don't comprehend your question. Please tell us more
specifically what it is you are trying to do.

The ID of the person is at the top blue strip when viewing sources from
an individual's record. That is, from family view, if you click on the sources
icon, the assigned sources window will pop up for that person and the person's
name will be at the top.

If you are referring to the Source Writer templates themselves, it would
make no sense to have an individual's id there, as you are writing a source
that may be used for many individuals (or no individuals at all if writing a
source for a general to do list item). If you wish to assign a source with the
same detail to multiple people, use the Source Clipboard.

In working with the Source Writer, I find that the ID of the individual
is not the first part of the detail in the source view. Is this correct? If
so, is this being changed at some point? By having multiple people with just a
volume and number type from a birth and death certificate makes this confusing.

Has anyone else raised to the list?
