Dick,

After reading Jenny's response this morning, I realized I totally misunderstood
the context of your question last night.

Yes, for those templates that include "ID of Person" as a field on the Detail
Screen, it is correct for that field to not be the first field. (I don't have
all the templates memorized; there may be some types where it *is* the first
field).

The templates are based upon the book Evidence Explained by Elizabeth Shown
Mills. If you want to understand the whys and wherefores of any of the
templates, you would need to read that book.

If you don't like the format of the citation that any template produces you
have a few choices: (1) use the basic source system instead of the Source
Writer, (2) use Source Writer, but put data in fields differently than they are
labeled (or leave some of the fields blank, or (3) use the Source Writer
Overrides.

In working with the Source Writer, I find that the ID of the individual is not
the first part of the detail in the source view.  Is this correct? If so, is
this being changed at some point? By having multiple people with just a volume
and number type from a birth and death certificate makes this confusing.

Has anyone else raised to the list?
