Jim, With all respect, I'm not sure what it is you want to do. Your first question was where in a source citation to put the URL, and two of us answered with essentially the same response: it is part of the publication data.
If you have additional questions about converting from another program to Legacy, please be more specific so someone with the expertise can answer. As to your reluctance to use the Publication Facts in the Basic Source system for the URL, I'm not sure why that would be an issue, but if it is, then why not experiment with the other available fields? There is no rigid rule that we have to use fields exactly according to their label. Here is a citation I wrote with the Basic Source system that includes a URL: Albuquerque Morning Democrat, 1 Jun 1894, p. 4, digital image by subscription, GenealogyBank.com (http://www.genealogybank.com: accessed 30 Sep 2007). I used only two fields: Title: Albuquerque Morning Democrat Publication Facts: 1 Jun 1894, p. 4, digital image by subscription, GenealogyBank.com (http://www.genealogybank.com: accessed 30 Sep 2007). I used Ctrl i to italicize GenealogyBank.com. If I were doing it over, I might move the date of publication, page #, etc. to Source Detail, and I would add the title of the article in quotes, but I would still leave "digital image by subscription, GenealogyBank.com, and the URL in the Publication Facts field.
