Thank you, Lincoln. I had thought that would probably be the outcome. Going
off memory, I am pretty sure that the instance of no underlining in the
instance which you mention has always been the case. I don't use the
underlines myself, but even if I did, I doubt I would want it in the
sentence/position you quote. In others words I would be happy with the
simple statement "Joe Bloggs married."

I take it that for the individual record of the spouse the underlines are
present? If not I will take a look at it tomorrow (UK time!)
