When you open the search and replace window there is a vertical bar on the left side. I believe it is called the character ribbon. See the help file for; "Special Characters" When entering information, Legacy offers a feature to help you quickly enter international characters (letters with diacritics). You can choose up to eight characters to be displayed in a ribbon on all input screens. (This ribbon can be turned off if not needed. See Customize.) Whenever you need one of these letters within a field, simply clicking on one automatically fills it in where you are typing. To select the characters for the ribbon, click the small blue button at the top of the ribbon and then double-click on up to eight characters from the Character Map . You can also click F6 whenever you are in a text input field to display the Character Map, where you can then select any character needed. I believe the characters you want are there by default. They can also be found by pressing F6 in any input field in Legacy but you have to scan through the entire Character Map to find them. -- Gene Young Researching Young, Harer, Cox & Sallada With Legacy Family Tree Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
