Thanks Jenny.  Having investigated further it seems what you are saying
is the way it is.  What got me thinking was that the 2nd person I looked
at had b. 3 May 1846, Cappamore, Ireland (my data entry) and d. <3 May
1846, Cappamore, Ireland> so that didn't fit the pattern of estimating a
life span.  I reckon now that was a furphy, a mistake.
