You can make minor text changes but to say that you can edit a pdf in the commonly accepted manner, ie; move or delete blocks of text and change formatting, you can not. You will lose the original layout and formatting. Unless all you are doing is very minor text changes you can not "EDIT" a pdf. For the minor text edit, PDF Exchange viewer is a more full featured, robust program and it is also free. I still recommend RTF reports that can be edited (I use Open Office) then convert to PDF. (Again, Open Office does an excellent job of conversion.) By going this way you can take a report from Legacy (a great genealogy program, not a report writing program) and you are not hampered by the limitations present in editing a PDF document. -- Gene Young n2kvs Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
