I would suggest that we not use the word 'backup' for a GEDCOM export. As we have discussed a few times on this list, certain Legacy things are lost in the GEDCOM format. In particular, SourceWriter sources are converted to Basic-style sources with a certain degree of scrambling. 'Restoring' a database from GEDCOM would be a last resort.
