Patsy,

This is really a personal choice. I use jpg and can easily bring them up
when I wish to check an entry. However, they do take up a lot of space on
your PC. Whether a pdf would use less memory I don't know, and I doubt if it
would take much longer, if indeed it is longer, to bring up a pdf, you would
need to have a look at this.
