I've done the same thing as Brian, except for Canada. Any other country
has the country name after the town, township, county, etc. and when/if
I publish, I intend to add a note to the Preface saying that all
locations are in Canada unless otherwise stated.
I've added the full word "township" and County" after each location.
Makes for a bit more typing occasionally but sure looks much clearer.
I'm not familiar with US townships, if they exist, or counties and when
I see Notown, Mud, MA for example, it takes a bit of figuring out that
MA is Massachusetts, Mud is probably the county, and Notown the actual
location. But what about the township?
I've heard that some states have a completely different surveying method
and it sure looks confusing to someone not familiar with the system. But
if it's spelled out - Notown, Mud County, Massachusetts, USA, then it
couldn't be clearer.
