Re Settings don't stay. I may be wrong on this but my setting seem to stay very well. I would prefer someone from Legacy to come in on this but if I go to the Index settings, Set the columns the way I want, right click on the header row, then click on Customize (which brings up Index View Columns) and Save (as) - it works every time. I have several "types" under Save as - one for General, one for Wives, one for Parents - saves trying to get lots of coumns on one page to view. As I said it works for me but perhaps someone else may have a comment who maybe has tried the same.
