You're right! It works! Thank you! I did just like you said, right-clicked on the one of the headers (Birth Place, etc.), then clicked on "Save" and I was able to name it. I named mine "My Column View" and existed the program and YES, my columns were saved. What's so neat is that I could have several saved favorites and just right-click a header to change the view. Thanks so much for this great tip.

You're perfectly correct. That's what to do if you want to keep a particular order and size of columns. The only difficulty with it is, you have to keep reloading your favourite layout each time you run Legacy. That is precisely my point - if I Customize the "favourite layout" stays and reopens the same way each time I open Legacy.
