I would not worry much about "usual practice" in this case: use Legacy the way it most makes sense to you. Legacy gives us lots of options for a reason. I, for example, rarely use the Text/Comments tab on Source Detail for transcriptions *of* the source. I use it for Comments *about* the source. Fair points I put the transcriptions in the Event Notes. I want the information about the person with the person, not buried in footnotes or endnotes. Do you put full transcription of monumental inscriptions, for the sake of a concrete example, in the Event Notes of all the folk on the MI or just the line that includes the person of interest?
