When I transferred my database from another program into Legacy, I discovered
much later that my notes had odd spaces and line breaks in them - sometimes in
the middle of a word. It took me a very long time to clean up these "errors." I
can't remember now exactly what setting I should have used instead of the one I
did use, but I think it had something to do with hard breaks. So my advice is
to import your information into Legacy and take a look at everything to see how
well the information transferred and don't make changes to it immediately. You
might be able to fix things if you use different settings in your transfer.

I think you'll like Legacy - it's quite flexible and generally easy to use.

I didn't understand what Richard was talking about with merge but you've
clarified it. No, I'm not crazy. :-) I don't have my data divided between
programs. Â It's a daunting prospect, cleaning up my data in a new program,
which is why I want to know a lot before I try it. I'm trying to avoid "if only
I had known..."
