I did that and it said that this email from you was in HTML mode,
haha! I'm reading all of these posts with great interest because I
really like to understand things (at least to the extent that a
non-computer programmer can).

I really don't care how any of you send the posts because I don't have
trouble with HTML but I'm interested in learning how to tell the
difference. Personally, I wouldn't care if I EVER sent HTML messages
because I'm not doing any sort of business advertising; I'm just
trying to communicate something. I do like RECEIVING business emails
in HTML though because that gives me the info I need in the email
without having to click over to their website. When I get those sort
of emails, my Gmail prompts me to decide whether or not I want to
receive the HTML part and I can answer yes or not or check to always
allow it on future emails from that company.

I think someone said that some email providers convert the email to
HTML even if it was sent PLAIN. you'd think they could do the
opposite. I'm wondering if there is such a free service, web based or
otherwise, and maybe the people who have trouble with HTML would
benefit from using one of those services? I sympathize with their
dilemma, particularly since it appears that even the best intentions
are thwarted by the automation of our email providers.

Still, I hate, hate, hate that some people are afraid to post their
questions because they don't understand HTML/plain text and don't want
to be blasted by the HTML police on this group. Nobody should be
afraid to be booted off the list because of that.

(my gmail is still in plain; I haven't changed anything, so this
should come thru ok :-)
