Brian,

Your post is in plain text.

You are doing nothing wrong, you can put your multimedia files where you
wish, as long as you tell Legacy where they are, as you are doing.

Legacy is Looking in the Default folder which is either one which you have
selected or the Legacy Default. See Options>Customise>Locations. Here you
will see the default for each type. If you click the View Current List
button below these you can see where your files actually are (or have been).

If you wish you can change these, but personally I can never be bothered.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Which folder to put .JPGs?

Hello,
I have recently decided to move all my .JPGs (pictures, scans of
records/documents) from a sub folder in My Documents to C: Legacy>Docs.
With all the sub folders dividing the Family records.
I am know reattaching all the JPGs (legacy does make this easy) and
noticed when I start to find the file, the first window says
that the jpg was not found in the picture/sound/video/file folder...does
this mean that my scans belong in one of those folders?
Then when I open "Browse for the file myself",it opens C:Legacy>Data.
So in which folder do my jpgs belong,I am ultimately trying to place my
jpgs where Legacy wants them.
Could you tell me where yours are?
Thanks for the advise
Brian

And would someone mention if this email is in Plain or HTML....thanks
