All of the OCR programs I have used, there is NO need in doing a copy and paste to another file. All I have had to do is a "Save As" and select file type I want. Most will allow one to save to MS Word, Excel and etc.
I have not played with the full version of Acrobat since version 6, but I do not remember it having a OCR program built in.
