I had this same problem, but not with Legacy, this was the one program
that didn't act up, what I found after much trial and error was one
of the add-ons in Internet Explorer. I disabled them and the problem
went away, it's been almost a year now with Windows 7 and I wish
they'd have come up with this a LONG time ago.
Just another 2 cents worth,
Hope this helps,
Gene

I have noticed this more lately so possibly there was an update that
made this issue worse. I have also noticed that more than 50% of the
time if I just WAIT it goes from "not responding" to working just
fine. I run 64 bit Windows 7.
Windows has sometimes come up with solutions for me. It advised me to
run Adobe under compatible with XP service pack 3 for example. Since
then the always crashing Adobe has performed flawlessly. But that is
the exception. Bill is right - it rarely finds things. Still, it was
worth it in this case.
