I won't revisit the controversy, as such, since I disagree with some on
the list, but it also should be mentioned that some people sort right to
left instead of left to right and there is an option on the place list
in Legacy to change the sorting mechanism.   I do use the placeholders,
with a set of commas for missing information, to get an organized
alphabetical sort, but I just do mine in the reverse of Robert's and put
cemeteries and pre-USA information in the notes fields.  I just don't
like a messy place list and I can't see the logic behind a half a dozen
place names for the exact same location.   Oh, I said I wasn't going to
re-visit the controversy.   Forgive me. But however you decide to do it,
100% consistency is the key to an organized place list that is easy to
