Dave:

You might try this.
Go to the individual in family view that has the location of concern
and then  do a mapping (click mapping icon at top).
The balloons will indicate each event and use of a location -- hover
over each balloon to see the event associated with the location.  This
might help you track down the location and how it is being used.
