If I took the photo then I have seen the tombstone so my information is coming from the tombstone itself. I take a photograph to record for myself what I saw. If you take a photograph than I am actually getting the data from you through a photographic media. I would cite to you as the source. Likewise, if you wrote down your observations and posted it on the internet I would still cite to you.
