If you want to assign particular numbers to particular people you will have to either renumber them one at a time or assign UserIDs. RINs are assigned incrementally as you add each new person to the database so the numbers probably won't bear much, if any, relationship to whereabout on the tree a person resides. If you do as Sherry advises it WILL renumber all your RINs. You say you don't have any missing, but obviously if you only have 1500 people but your RINs all have at least 10 digits the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ..... are missing! If you do what Sherry says you will have RINs from 1 to 1500. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
