Yes it does....or at least what I have been able to come up with as a non-LDS 
user of the new system.

Gene,
What about when we (non LDS) have the capability to integrate with
FamilySearch.  Will FS recognize the locations when you are trying to match
people up?

  Does not impact the search feature...just the sorting if there is
more then 4 places and you try to put the list in country first followed by
decreasing location.  I found this out when trying to add the country onto
the end of the states, and the field already contained 4 places.
