I always work with a tagged group using the tabs on the right in the Name List. Lot less clicking. Bring the tab forward that you want to work on and just go right down the list, leaving that tab forward.
Before working on the next person, make sure the info in the tab changes to that individual's record - there might be a slight delay after clicking on the next person in the list. Also, then it's really easy to double click on the "X" to remove the tag. When you want to pick up where you left off, open the Name List and go to Search > Show All Tagged.
