You need to unlink Ann from both parents. Then make a new relationship between
Jane and the unknown father. Then link Ann to this set of parents. After you
do that, you can delete the unknown father and you will be left with Jane
married to Joseph. You will also have Ann with Jane as her mother and no one
for her father.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Unlinking a Child

Hoping someone can help me unlink a child. Joseph and Jane had 3 children
before he 'left' for NSW in 1836. Jane had a 4th child, Ann in 1841, father
unknown.. Unfortunately I have Ann's father showing as Joseph. When I try to
unlink, Legacy wants to remove her from both parents. I know there must be a
solution, but sadly can't figure it out. Hopefully someone can guide me thru
this.
With Thanks,
Scott B
