Go ahead and unlink from both, then add mother back with unknown father. Or vice versa

Joseph and Jane had 3 children before he 'left' for NSW in 1836. Jane had a 4th child, Ann in 1841, father unknown. Unfortunately I have Ann's father showing as Joseph. When I try to unlink, Legacy wants to remove her from both parents. I know there must be a solution, but sadly can't figure it out. Hopefully someone can guide me thru this.
