Exactly Jenny - I *thought* I understood how the three bar icon worked, from reading the Help files. Obviously I misunderstood. It was only by accident yesterday that I discovered my misuse of the icon when I went in to remove an unwanted 'note' from a source detail I had just added to (I thought) name, birthdate and death date and discovered it was also added to an occupation event previously entered. Seems I've opened a can of worms with this one - I wasn't specifically asking for a change (my Aaarrgh was directed at myself rather than the program, well, partly at the program I suppose), I certainly wasn't asking for the three bar function removed but did make the comment that it doesn't seem to make sense for the function to affect ALL events.

Likewise, if one thinks one knows how to do something one doesn't read the Help files. It's quite possible to study all the Tool Tips and Help files when one is knew to the program or feature and then forget some of the little "quirks" later on. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
