But research is generally conducted in a front-to-back direction - newest to oldest. And once you've established a basic framework, then you can start on the back-to-front and sideways research. Starting with yourself is always advised because that's who you probably know most about and is the root of the majority of descendent and ancestor reports. From you, you can add your parents and their parents (front-to-back) to establish the framework. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
